①First, stretch lower mattress of shiki-buton on tatami. ②Cover the lower futon with starched white sheet. ③Place a pillow rapped by a sheet. ④Upper futon, soft kake-buton is placed on the top. ⑤Tidy up and straighten. |
| Breakfast includes: nori (seaweed); tsukemono (pickles); nimono (simmered vegetable); onsen-tamago (spa-boiled egg) and miso soup. |
| Gohan (steamed rice, left), miso soup (right) and nori (dried seaweed, upper) are indispensable for Japanese breakfast. |
| Some ryokan prepares breakfast at a separate room. |
| Hold chopsticks in one hand, and lift up bowl of gohan, or miso soup with the other hand. |
